Pilot is unsuccessful in breaking his own world record

As the saying goes the sky’s the limit.

Sunday morning, pilot Spencer Suderman , attempted to break his own world record for the most inverted flat spins in an aircraft.

Suderman broke the record back in 2016 in Yuma but was unsuccessful today.

After flying over ten thousand feet in the air, the pilot said he was having problems breathing and aborted the record attempt.

Regardless, Suderman said it’s important to continue challenging one’s self.

“Without doing that we don’t know what our limits are. If we set goals and try to reach them then we’re successful. If we don’t set goals then we failed. We failed by not even trying,” said Suderman.

Suderman still holds the world record with 98 inverted flat spins. He said he doesn’t know if he’ll attempt to break the record again because of the toll it takes on the body.
