Police investigating after man reportedly approaches teen girl

Yuma police are currently investigating after a man approached a 15-year-old girl on her way to school at the 200 block of Magnolia Avenue Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the girl was approached by an unknown man who offered to take her to school. The teen told the man no and he then said he could take her home. The girl ran to her residence and the man fled the area.

The man is described as a Hispanic man between 30 to 35-years-old. He is approximately 5’6″-5’8″ tall and weighs between 120-130 pounds. He is bald and was wearing a black zipper sweater and black pants.

The incident remains under investigation.
