New beginnings for a rehabilitation center

New beginnings for a non-profit rehabilitation center in Yuma. Palm View Rehabilitation and Care Center had their grand re-opening this morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Chamber of Commerce. Some big names in the community all came out to celebrate the re-opening as the facility had been under renovation since last summer.

Palm View is owned by the non-profit company, Kissito Healthcare. Yuma is their only Arizona location and it is one of the longest-running rehabilitation centers in Yuma County.

“What we are celebrating here today are some renovations we’ve done in our post-acute rehab rooms and palliative care room, palliative care means ‘comfort care’ or ‘end of life care’. so we’ve opened up private rooms to cater to residents and families at the end of life processes,” said Jeffery Lines, Chief Administrative Officer.

The center offers outpatient and inpatient therapy services. Most people are referred to the rehab center by Yuma Regional Medical Center or through their primary care physician.
