Win $100K if you go a full year without a smartphone

Vitamin water is issuing a New Year’s challenge, but you’ll have to ditch your smartphone!

The company is willing to pay one person $100,000 if they give up their smartphone for a year.. That’s 365 days without your smartphone.

Contestants willing to give up their smartphones can enter the contest until January 8th.

They say you aren’t allowed to use another person’s smartphone either, and that there will be a lie detector test at the end of the year.

All you have to do is post a photo to your Twitter or Instagram, tag Vtamin Water, and describe what you would do for an entire year without the ability to text or have the internet in your pocket.

Vitamin Water says you should also include the hashtags #nophoneforayear and #contest to qualify.

The chosen persons will receive a 1996-era cell phone that only makes and receives calls.

And if you can only last six months without a Smarpthone, Vitamin Water is still willing to reward you $10,000.
