Winter storm hits northern AZ, Desert Southwest temperatures drop to ’60s

According to the National Weather Service, the winter storm is bringing snow to some parts of northern Arizona on Thursday and Friday.

Cold temperatures are expected by Saturday morning until Wednesday of next week, entering the new year.

The NWS says snow will fall the heaviest in northern Arizona Thursday night into Friday evening. About 2-3 inches of snow is expected.

The freezing temperatures are also expected to affect Phoenix area Saturday and Sunday with temps dropping into the 30s.
