Man last seen riding bicycle found dead in southern Arizona
A 72-year-old man who was last seen riding his bicycle more than two weeks ago has been found dead in southern Arizona.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office says the body of William Baumeister was discovered in a desert area east of Tucson early Thursday morning.
The sheriff’s office says deputies and a search and rescue team had responded to the Rincon District after getting a tip someone in the nearby community.
The investigation into his Baumeister’s death is ongoing.
The sheriff’s office says Baumeister last was seen the morning of Dec. 11 riding a blue bicycle. He was headed toward the Old Spanish Trail.
