Governor Doug Ducey appoints Martha McSally to U.S. Senate
Martha McSally has been chosen to the fill the U.S. Senate seat once held by the late Senator John McCain.
Governor Doug Ducey tweeted out his decision to appoint the former Congresswoman Tuesday morning:

McSally’s appointment comes after Gov. Ducey announced U.S. Senator Jon Kyl would resign at the end of December. He returned to politics following the death of Sen. John McCain.
During the midterm elections, McSally lost her bid to Kyrsten Sinema just last month.
“I support Congresswoman McSally,” U.S. Senator Jon Kyl told News 11 in October. “She’s a very energetic, very effective person. I support her,” he added.
