Donors can save a life and receive a free pizza

Vitalant has partnered up with Pizza Hut in the spirit of the holidays to help those in need of transfusions.

Donors who participate in the drive will receive a free medium cheese pizza from Pizza Hut, but will also be saving a life.

Donor Recruitment Representative Donna Singleton hopes that this encourages residents to come out and support such an important cause.

“Every donor makes a difference at each of these blood drives so we count on our Yuma residents to help us keep the blood supply able for our hospital patients,” said Singleton.

With the holidays slowly approaching it is easy to forget how vital blood drives are for families across the world.

“You can make a difference by donating blood. People’s families count on us every day to provide that blood for their loved ones and so in the spirit of giving and in the season of giving, you can give the gift of life and you can receive free pizza from pizza hut in return,” said Singleton.

The following are the dates and locations for the upcoming drives:

December 13, Somerton Police Department Training Room, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. December 14, Yuma Regional Medical Center Corporate Center, from 10 a,m. to 3 p.m. December 15, St John Neumann Catholic Church Parish Hall, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. To find any other information click here.
