Police arrest suspect of armed robbery at Circle K

Authorities arrested a 27-year-old man suspected of being involved in an armed robbery at the Circle K located on 4th Avenue and 18th Street late Wednesday night.

According to Yuma police, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery to the Circle K located at 1700 block of South 4th Avenue. An investigation revealed that the suspect entered the Circle K, took items, and demanded money while displaying a weapon in his waistband.

Officers arrived at the scene and the suspect, 27-year-old Jonathan Morales, was located and taken into custody. Morales is facing four felony charges, including armed robbery with a deadly weapon and theft.

No injuries were reported.

During his initial court appearance, his bond was set at $5,000 cash only.

Morales will be back in court Monday.
