Man arrested for allegedly luring a minor pleads not guilty
A local man arrested for allegedly luring a 13-year-old girl for sexual exploitation in November appeared in court Monday.
Matthew Sanchez, 30, arrived at a Loves Truck Stop where he was met by a member of “Truckers Against Predators,” instead of the minor.
Sanchez appeared in court to discuss a plea agreement.
He pled not guilty to the four counts attached to his indictment including transmitting obscene material, luring a minor for sexual exploitation, aggravated luring a minor for sex, and attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
Sanchez will appear in court in a week and a half for a conditions of release hearing and a case management hearing in one month.

Yuma police said Matthew Sanchez, 30, was arrested after allegedly luring a 13-year-old girl for a sexual encounter Sunday night.
YPD said Sanchez arrived at the Loves Truck Stop, located at 2931 E. Gila Ridge Road, where he was met by a member of “Truckers Against Predators” instead of the minor.
YPD said the confrontation was recorded by the group and streamed via Facebook Live.

Sanchez left the Love’s Truck Stop, went to his residence and called 911 to turn himself in.
He was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for aggravated luring minor for sexual exploitation, furnishing harmful items to minors and luring minor for sexual exploitation.
