TRAVEL ALERT: Full closure of business loop in Gila Bend scheduled

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising drivers to plan for the temporary full closure of Business Loop on Interstate 8 (Pima Street) in Gila Bend on Monday, December 3.

The closures will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Gila Bend’s Holiday Light parade route will require a full closure.

Drivers should plan to use detour routes and allow extra travel time while these closures are in place:

Business Loop I-8 (Pima Street) will be closed in both directions between Gila Street and Cholla Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Alternate routes include Butterfield Trail and Watermelon, Cotton Center and Stout roads. Drivers should obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around public safety personnel and equipment.
