Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by car

UPDATE (7:59 p.m.)

A 57-year-old man was hospitalized Monday night after he was struck by a vehicle in the 1400 block of South 4th Avenue.

Yuma Police Department said an investigation revealed that the man was crossing 4th Avenue when he was struck by a dark grey Ford Taurus, driven by a 75-year-old man. Police said the pedestrian was not walking in the crosswalk. Neither speed nor alcohol appears to be a factor.
