Alleged playground arsonist appears in court
The minor that officials said confessed to starting the fire that destroyed the Stewart Vincent Wolfe Imaginary Playground in 2014 appeared in court Tuesday.
Seventeen-year-old Kane Perez was in court for a final management conference.
His defense attorney asked for 30 more days so that a separate case pertaining to the same incident could catch up.
His next court appearance will be next month for a final management conference and change of plea.

Perez was already in custody for the officer-involved shooting that happened on the night of August 1.
A three and a half year investigation by YPD and YFD led to the connection of Kane Perez.
