Yuma firefighters sent to battle Camp Fire in Northern California

A team of Yuma firefighers is heading to northern California to help battle the Camp Fire. According to the Yuma Fire Department, personnel responded to a mutual aid request to assist with the Camp Fire located at Butte County. The fire department has sent a fire captain, engineer, two firefighters, and one engine. They are meeting with personnel in Imperial County Fire officials said they will be there for no more than two weeks unless they are requested to stay longer. The fire began early Thursday morning at Camp Creek Road in Butte County, according to CAL FIRE.
