Imperial County Registrar to release election results update Friday

The Imperial County Registrar of Voters will release another “unofficial election results” update this Friday following the midterm elections.

The update will include all polling place voters and some vote-by-mail ballots but it will not be the final tally of all ballots, according to registrar officials.

As of Thursday, around 12,700 ballots remain unprocessed that include 9,560 vote-by-mail ballots, 3,074 provisional, and 69 conditional voter registration provisional ballots. The registrars’ office added that they expect to receive additional ballots.
