Prepare for election day in Yuma County

Registered voters around the U.S. will be heading to the nearest voting center Tuesday and that is no different in Yuma County.
Nearly 28,400 Yuma County residents have already left their mark this election season, leaving about 52,000 voters to hit voting centers from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
It is a common trend to see more voters hit voting centers during the general election, according to Yuma County.

Yuma County explained how voters can be prepared when casting their votes.

“They should have their identification and what really helps, is we sent a package to all voters in Yuma County. What’s really good is to pour through that and make your decisions before you actually get to the polling place. it helps you get through the ballot quickly,” said Kevin Tunell, Yuma County communications director.
Tunell also added that a mistake voters make is postmarking their early ballots on election day. He urged that voters must turn in their early ballots to the County Recorder’s Office.
