Local automotive center now open and giving back to non-profit groups and military

FTS Automotive Center, originally specializing in tires and wheels has expanded its shop to now assist with all forms of maintenance.

Saturday morning, FTS opened its doors at its new location on S Arizona Ave.

In addition to educating the public on their new services, FTS provided lunch, live music courtesy of Vertical Church, speakers, an Armed Forces memorial presentation, and prizes.

A mural and memorial were revealed, to honor the military and first responders.

An auction allowed FTS to show their commitment to the non-profit community by donating 100% of the proceeds to Crossroads Mission, Veterans Amputees, Right Turn Veterans, and Power Pack.

FTS also held a fundraiser for Power Pac which is an organization at Vertical Church that provides meals for children on the weekends.

Dan Mikles, the owner of FTS Automotive, said that “any time we do an event through our business, we always like to bring in non-profits to raise money for them as well.”

Mikles intended to create an automotive facility that would allow it to be a “one-stop shop”.

“Yuma is a military town, so I wanted something big enough where we could honor our military and our first responders,” Mikles said.

“Without this community, we couldn’t give back the way we do, we’d like to thank the community for all their help,” he said.
