YPD expects thousands at Scary and Safe Trick or Treat

The Scary and Safe Trick or Treat is back and ready to offer a safe place for Yuma residents to celebrate Halloween at the Yuma County Fairgrounds.

The Yuma Police Department and Yuma County Fair will be hosting the event Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Yuma Police said to bring a costume, patience, and be ready to have fun.

Over 39 vendors and booths will be ready to serve close to 5,000 kids, according to Sergeant Lori Frankin with YPD.

Admission is $1 per person. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, Yuma police said.
