Website helps residents track down vote centers
A new website will now allow voters to track down where the nearest vote centers will be located in the upcoming elections.
The Yuma County Recorder teamed up with the Elections and Information Technology Services to bring the new Vote Center Locator to life. The website will help registered voters find and get directions to the nearest voting center regardless of where they are located in Yuma County.
Voters can simply enter their address and the closest vote center will be provided, along with the respective voting precinct, on the map.
“Since registered voters can cast their ballot at any Vote Center we wanted to take the guesswork out of figuring out where to go,” said Robyn Stallworth-Pouquette with the Yuma County Recorder. “Whether you’re at work, an appointment or at home the Vote Center Locator will show where and how to get to the nearest place to vote.”
Officials said nine vote centers will be available to help voters cast their ballot anywhere in the county. Voters will also be able to use the website to contact federal, state, and county representatives that serve their precinct.
