LIVE: Secretary Nielsen in Calexico to visit border wall

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen M. Nielsen will travel to Calexico to view the first completed section of President Trump’s 30-foot border wall in the El Centro Sector on Friday.

Secretary Nielsen will hold a press conference to reaffirm the Department’s commitment to securing our nation’s borders.

Joining Secretary Nielsen will be U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan and El Centro Sector Border Patrol Chief Gloria Chavez.

The press conference will begin at 9 a.m.

Secretary Nielsen also met with leaders at Yuma Sector Border Patrol on Thursday.
