Female bicyclist struck by FedEx van
Authorities said a woman riding a bicycle was struck by a FedEx van in the 2500 block of South 4th Avenue Tuesday evening.
According to Yuma police, the driver of the FedEx van was waiting to pull out from the AutoZone parking lot. The driver began to merge into the curb lane when he struck a female bicyclist who police said was riding against traffic on the sidewalk.
The 38-year-old woman was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
