Ask Yuma:College students on the Midterm Election

With the Midterm Election less than two weeks away, 13 On Your Side asked Arizona Western College students in what issues matter to them. According to the Arizona Secretary of State Office, there are possibly more registered voters compared to the 2016 Presidential Election, with over 100,000 voters in the demographic age bracket (18-24).
Students who participated in ‘Ask Yuma’ gave us some insight into what the ‘next generation’ of local voters could be focused on in future elections. Whether it was their first time voting or considered themselves an ‘undecided voter’, topics mentioned ranged from Education, Immigration, and Healthcare. They also shared their thoughts in the voting process and the value of making a decision.
