Solar Viewing on the Patio
On Thursday, October 25, the Foothills Library is hosting “Solar Viewing on the Patio” at 3:00 p.m. View the sun through the library’s solar telescope, and look through telescopes that have solar filters to observe sun spots , prominences, and flares. There is no charge to attend.

Fall Festival
The Somerton Library will host the 7th Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 27, at 10:00 a.m. Families are invited to enjoy stories, games, crafts, and a Halloween costume contest! Light refreshments will be served. There is no charge to attend.

Yuma Women’s History
Celebrate the life and legacy of Helene Thomas Bennett at the Heritage Library! On Saturday, October 27, Special Collections Librarian Laurie Boone will present “Yuma Women’s History” at 10:00 a.m. Learn more about the life and career of Helene Thomas Bennett, a food/ chemical laboratory specialist who founded Thomas Laboratories in 1926 and devoted 58 years of her life to the health and well-being of Yuma’s citizens. There is no charge to attend.
