Two teens taken into custody after school threat

Two 16-year-old students were taken into custody after authorities received reports of a possible school threat made to local high schools.

The Yuma Police Department said at about 8:06 a.m., they received reports of a possible school shooting that could happen at Cibola High School or Yuma Catholic High Schools.

Two 16-year-old students who attend Desert View Middle & High School were identified as the subjects who made the threats.

Authorities said both teens will have charges forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office for review for terrorism.
