Yuma family pumpkin patch opens this weekend

The 12 th annual Yuma Family pumpkin patch opens this weekend with a carnival-like Star Wars theme.

The pumpkin patch ran by the Champion Church, is open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. up until Halloween.

It will have games, food and activities for all ages including, a dunk tank, jumping castles, blow up obstacle courses, a galactic adventure show and much more according to long-time organizer and member of the church, Brandon Sweet. There will also be plenty of pumpkins to choose from.

“The Yuma county pumpkin patch has been going on for about twelve years now,” Sweet said. “We have been adding to it year by year and creating family memories.”

The event is $5 per person however, if you check-in on Facebook when you get there and show them, you can get a dollar off.

“These kids have a blast and just to see that and then the parent’s faces makes it all worth it,” Sweet said.

On Halloween night the pumpkin patch will turn into trick-or-treat street starting at 6 p.m., kids will be able to trick-or-treat and take part in games and activities.
