Meet one of the five finalists for the 2018 Inked Magazine cover

Irasema Madrigal is one of the top five finalists for the ‘International Inked Magazine Covergirl’ competition and she is encouraging the community to vote.

The winner of this competition will be on the front cover of Inked Magazine and will also receive prizes and even a check for $25,000.

Madrigal was skeptical of joining but says her best friend gave her the ultimate push.

“I had a friend take some pictures and I was super nervous because it’s just not me you know it’s out of my comfort zone to do that so I was kind of trying to back out of it. My best friend is like no you have to do this you’re going to do it and she’s the one that put everything together she called up a photographer and said look we are going to do this,” said Madrigal.

Madrigal is also a mom of three and says her children are her motivation. She also looks forward to the changes the competition may bring if she does win.

“Just do it you know it couldn’t hurt, just you know suck it up and I mean you know it won’t hurt and it would be cool if I won I just I didn’t imagine you know doing this but I mean it’s fun and it would be cool if someone from the valley would win. ”
