40 trained to assist Yuma county with health insurance enrollment
Cover Arizona, a coalition created to increase healthcare coverage is better educating Yuma County residents about certain healthcare plans.
Nearly 400 people in Yuma County took advantage of helpers, to ensure they enrolled in the healthcare plan that fit their individual needs last year.
Four different groups throughout Yuma County joined in on training to learn more about Kids Care, AHCCCS and the health insurance marketplace to ensure they can inform the community about what they could qualify for.
One of the new trainees with the Regional Center for Border Health explained how insightful the training she got today was to assist residents around the county.
“It’s great to have a lot of information of how we can help the Yuma community and help them out applying for insurance and giving them options of what works for them best,” said Regional Center for Border Health, Greta Castro.
Those training to assist Yuma County will be available by appointment at four locations: Regional Center for Border Health, Yuma Regional Medical Center, Sunset Community Health Center and Campesinos Sin Fronteras.
