How to protect your pets from the storm
With Hurricane Rosa in our midst this weather can be a hazard for our pets. News 11 talked with the Humane Society of Yuma today to find out the best way to protect them?
“A hundred percent inside is the safest way for your pet to be. They will feel more safe because they are next to you. It’s more dry inside and you don’t have to deal with the flooding and with the rain and with them possibly getting out. If they are scared of something like the thunder, there are obviously thunder jackets if you have one of those for your pets. You can also wrap them in towels,” said Alyssa Adkins with the Humane Society of Yuma.
Another thing to note is that if your pet does go missing, the first place you should check is the Humane Society of Yuma and make sure your animal is wearing their collar at all times.
