Yuma County announces new elections director

Yuma County announced the appointment of their new elections director Friday.

Willie Green III will begin his duties as the county’s elections director on Monday, Sept. 24.

Green is currently serving as the Director of Elections & Registration for Floyd County, Ga. since October 2015. Green previously served as Deputy Director of Elections for Duplin County, N.C. for part of 2015 and as the Geographic Information Systems ( GIS) Specialist III- Team Lead for Fulton County, Ga. from 2004 to early 2015.

Green earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Savannah State University (SSU), a master’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning from SSU and Ph.D. in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University.
