Pedestrian processing facility to open at San Luis port of entry

The U.S. General Services Administration and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection will begin transitioning pedestrian operations on Monday, at 10 a.m.

The new transition will take place at the new North Annex building at the San Luis port of entry and the new facility will have 10 lanes for pedestrians.

The old facility only has eight.

Pedestrians are advised that construction is continuing in the main building and travelers should follow posted signs and directions from port operators.

Travelers may experience temporary delays during this transition period due to ongoing construction and the installation of new equipment.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is on October 24.
