Voting efforts continue as Yuma County Democratic and Republican Party teams educate voters

Though the midterm elections are over, the Yuma County Republican Party and the Yuma County Democratic party are continuing their efforts to talk to the community about voting in the general elections in November.

Both parties have been forming teams of volunteers and training them to canvas in the community.

The parties’ hope is that these teams will go door to door and speak to voters and answer questions on local candidates or statewide propositions.

Both parties hope to continue to educate the community on candidates that may not have been the voter’s first choice in the midterm election.

New apps and programs are being used to gather data more efficiently and make door knocking easier for volunteers.

The Democratic and Republican party intends to make sure people are registered to vote and that they turn in their ballot in November.
