Pet Talk: Meet Torreto and Mama Gem

In a brand new Pet Talk we meet a playful American Bulldog mix named Torreto and re-introduce you to an adorable white and gray Pit bull name Mama Gem. Both dogs would be perfect for anyone looking for an adventure.

First up is Torreto. What a smile! Torreto is such a loving boy. He loves to be around people and plays very well with other dogs. Torreto enjoys playing in the dirt and rolling around outside. He was found in Calexico and is estimated to be around six-years-old. He is currently neutured and has been at the shelter since July.

Next is a familiar face. Her name is Mama Gem. She had a litter of puppies about six months ago and all of them are named after different gemstones. All of her puppies got adopted so now it’s her turn. She is such a loving girl and tends to act like a pup herself. She’s great with kids and gets along with other dogs her size or larger. Gem is estimated to be five-years-old and she arrived at the shelter a year ago!

If you are interested in either Toretto or Mama Gem, please call the Humane Society of Imperial County at (760) 352-1911. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. You can also email them at ivhumanesociety@gmail.com
