Victims identified in 5th Street shooting

The identities of the victims involved in the shooting that happened at the 2700 block of West 5th Street who were found Monday have been revealed.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, the victims have been identified as 20-year-old Grady Baxter, of Yuma, 19-year-old Nicholas Grabbe, of Yuma, and 24-year-old Javier Sanchez, of Yuma.

Authorities said they received a report of a dead body inside a home at around 1:22 p.m. at the 2700 block of West 5th Street on Monday. Deputies arrived at the scene and located three men that were found dead with apparent gunshot wounds.

YCSO does not believe this was a random event and are continuously searching for a suspect(s) in this incident.
