Firefighters respond to garage fire
The Rural Metro Fire Department extinguished a garage fire Monday afternoon at the 12000 block of Paula Avenue in the Foothills area.
At 1:10 p.m., the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a garage on fire leading Rural Metro personnel to respond. Fire officials said crews could see heavy black smoke in the area. Fire personnel arrived at the scene and were able to knock out the fire quickly.
The building sustained minimal damage, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
