Police arrest two teens for armed robbery outside Chili’s Bar & Grill

Two teens were arrested and one is possibly still on the run following an armed robbery outside Chili’s Bar & Grill Monday night.

Police said at around 10:20 p.m. officers responded to reports of theft outside the restaurant located at 1131 S. Yuma Palms Parkway.

The investigation showed that two juveniles displayed a gun and knife and demanded property before they fled on foot in separate directions.

The victims and witnesses flagged down responding officers who pointed out the suspect’s locations. After a short foot pursuit, officers took the two teens into custody, according to police.

“Two males that were arrested, one is outstanding. He was last seen in a dark blue four-door sedan and they’ve been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and the second charge is armed robbery. One of the victims reported minor injuries,” said Public Affairs Officer Janet Sanchez.

The case is still under investigation.
