Pet Talk: Meet Sabrina and Lafayette

Happy Monday. It’s Pet talk time and this Monday we meet a Pitbull named Sabrina and silky gray cat named Lafayette. Both animals you are about to meet have come a long way and now they are ready for a new life and a new beginning.

First up is Sabrina, a brown and white pit bull that was found in Calexico. Sabrina started out extremely timid and shy, but during her time at the shelter, she has really blossomed and started trusting not only those around her, but strangers as well. She’s a bit smaller than your average pit bull and is said to be about 3-years-old. She needs an owner who has the time to take her on walks and give her the attention she deserves. She does extremely well with others dogs and she is already spayed. She has been at the Imperial County shelter since May.

Next is Lafayette. This playful silky gray cat is a big boy. His friendly disposition makes him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a cat. He seems to do well with other felines and although playful, doesn’t seem too high energy. He’s expected to be about two years old and has been at the shelter since April.

If you are interested in either Sabrina or Lafayette, please call the Humane Society of Imperial County at (760) 352-1911. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. You can also email them at ivhumanesociety@gmail.com.
