Police catch man who attempted to kidnap 9-year-old Arizona girl

Police have arrested a man who was accused of trying to snatch a child from her bedroom Sunday.

Tucson police say 29-year-old Alonso Rodriquez was arrested Monday morning on charges of second-degree burglary and attempted kidnapping. The incident happened on the 2400 block of North Dodge Boulevard when the girl was sleeping in her room. Police say Rodriquez opened her bedroom window and tried to coerce the child out of the room to go with him. When a relative heard the commotion they came in the room and started screaming. Rodriquez then fled on on foot.
