Local police respond to reported armed robbery

Police in Imperial County responded to a reported armed robbery.

Calexico Police stated that they responded to a call of a strong armed robbery at one of the Metro PCS stores in Calexico. When police arrived, the suspect already fled the scene. However after conducting a search, they were able to find the suspect on the 100 block of John F. Kennedy Street. The suspect was taken into custody after he was found to be in possession of items that had been stolen from Metro PCS and Forever 21. The stolen items were returned to the victims.
