17-year-old suspect facing eight charges in officer-involved shooting

The 17-year-old suspect connected to the officer-involved shooting that happened on August 1st is facing eight charges after he appeared in the Yuma Superior Court Tuesday.

The 17-year-old is facing three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of misconduct involving a weapon, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of assisting in a criminal street gang.

In court, it was announced that he will be tried as an adult.

His bond was set at $250,000 cash only.
