Pet Talk: Meet JD and Blue

In a brand new Pet Talk, we introduce you to a vivacious Husky and a beautiful bully mix both at the Humane Society of Imperial County.

The first dog you’re gonna meet, you may have seen before. His name is JD, which stands for Jack Daniels. This bully mix has a beautiful tri-colored coat with hazel eyes. He has been at the shelter since July of 2017 and he has the sweetest disposition. At first, some may be overwhelmed by his high energy persona, but that quickly fades as he tires easily. While Jack Daniels loves to go on walks, he would do just fine lounging inside the home. Not a big fan of dogs his size or larger, he prefers to hang out with the smaller breeds. He is said to be about 3 years old and will get neutered upon adoption.

Next is a Husky named Blue. Blue arrived at the shelter in December of 2017. What an active dog. He loves to run and explore which is the nature of the Husky breed. He’s three years old and is already neutered. If you want a hiking buddy or a dog that’s going to pull you out of your shell, Blue is your guy. He needs a family that is really going to meet his high energy needs. He can be a bit territorial with his toys, but he loves to play fetch.

If you are interested in either Jack Daniels or Blue, please call the Humane Society of Imperial County at (760) 352-1911. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. You can also email them at ivhumanesociety@gmail.com.
