Man in serious condition after hit and run

A 60-year-old man is in serious condition after he was struck by a vehicle on Monday at approximately 2:38 a.m.

The Yuma Police Department said the man was crossing 16th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue when he was struck and the vehicle fled the scene.

The vehicle headed eastbound on 16th Street and a suspect has yet to be identified, according to YPD.

The only description of the hit and run vehicle is that it has LED lights.

YPD said the victim was later flown to a Phoenix hospital and remains in serious condition.
