Power outage affecting more than 1,000 APS customers

Power has been restored for residents across Yuma County, according to the Arizona Public Service.

The Arizona Public Service said 1,088 customers are without power Tuesday evening due to a switching failure.

Crews are currently making repairs and power is expected to be restored by 12:00 a.m.

More than 1,800 APS customers are without power across Yuma Tuesday evening.

Arizona Public Service reported power outages as service interruptions to a major power line.

The areas affected include 12th Street to 26th Street and Avenue D to 33rd Drive with 1,836 customers affected.

An estimated restoration time is set for 12:00 a.m., according to the APS website.
