Police: Teen girl molested by employee at Phoenix migrant detention center
A detention center employee is facing sex crime charges after he allegedly touched a 14-year-old girl, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
12 News reported that the 14-year-old girl’s roommate told investigators that 32-year-old Fernando Magaz Negrete went into the room on the night of June 27. He then proceeded to kiss her and fondled her multiple times.
Surveillance video showed the girl pushing Negrete away as he continued to come back and enter the room.
During an interview, Negrete admitted to kissing and groping the girl.
He is facing one count each of child molestation, sexual abuse, and aggravated assault.
