Border Patrol arrests previously deported sex offender
The U.S. Border Patrol says it has arrested a convicted sex offender previously deported from the U.S.
The agency said Monday that agents on Friday night arrested 29-year-old Victor Rivera Hernandez of Mexico in the border city of Nogales, Arizona.
It says Rivera was convicted in two separate incidents in West Covina and Los Angeles, California in 2008 for indecent exposure and was sentenced to one year imprisonment.
The Border Patrol conducts criminal history checks using biometrics to identify immigrants who have been convicted of felonies.
