Sex offender released from state prison now living in Yuma County

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the community of the release of 25-year-old Ronald S. Morgan who was convicted of a sex offense in 2014.

Morgan is described as five feet, eight inches tall, 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Morgan is not wanted by the YCSO at this time.

On September 3, 2014, Morgan was found guilty in the Yuma County Superior Court of Burglary in the Second Degree with Sexual Motivation and Attempted Molestation of a Child. He was sentenced to five years in the Arizona Department of Corrections, with 498 days credit for time already served. His victim was a female juvenile acquaintance.

Morgan is a level three sex offender with a high risk to re-offend.

This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is YCSO’s belief that an informed community is a safer community.
