Two people are dead following Friday’s head-on collision that happened on State Route 195, said the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

It happened at around 9:20 p.m. when deputies with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a reported wrong-way driver in the area of SR-195 at Araby Road heading northbound in the southbound lanes.

DPS troopers arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle rollover collision. Authorities said one of the vehicles was fully engulfed in flames.

DPS said the wrong-way driver was 24-year-old Bryan Ambrose, of Yuma, who was driving a Toyota sedan.

Ambrose impacted with 47-year-old Diana Gutierrez, of Phoenix, who was driving a Ford sedan. Gutierrez was traveling with a passenger who was transported to the hospital.
