Man tries to flee from Border Patrol agents
The Calexico Police Department said a driver lost control of his vehicle before trying to run away from U.S. Border Patrol.
The incident happened Sunday near the 1000 Block of Heber Ave. Police said Border Patrol agents were trying to make contact with the occupants of a Ford SUV. That’s when the driver decided to take off. The driver collided into several palm trees.
Police said the driver then attempted to flee on foot, but he didn’t get far. The man was taken into custody. Police said it was reported several of the occupants received serious injuries.
