Trailer fire in Yuma displaces residents inside
A trailer caught fire in Yuma Tuesday morning and suffered severe damage to both the trailer and contents inside.
The flames erupted shortly after 7:00 a.m. at 1925 South 3rd Avenue, fire officials said.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the trailer and were able to quickly bring the fire under control.
Three adults and two dogs were in the home at the time of the fire. All adults and one dog were able to get out, but the second dog is not accounted for at this time, according to Yuma Fire.
One resident was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and then was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.
Yuma Fire Department and Yuma Police Investigators are still working on the cause of the fire.
Additional YFD personnel are still on scene to monitor any hot spots or flare-ups of the fire.
