Boy is heartbroken over missing bike

A mother wants help in finding her son’s missing bike.

A mother is asking the public to help identify the person who appears on a surveillance video taking a bicycle from the front porch of her Heber home. Elizabeth Jimenez said the bike belongs to her 9-year-old son.

She said a woman came to her door in the morning, stood around for a while, and then took her son’s bike. The family was out. When they came back they noticed the bike missing and called the Sheriff. Jimenez described the bicycle as a black Hyper Spinner bike with neon green and white letters on it.

She said her son is heartbroken over losing his bike that he got for his birthday two years ago. Her son was very attached to that bike.

“I’m upset because you work to buy things and to have things for your kids and someone just comes in and thinks they can come to your property and just take your stuff. Why does she think she has the right to come onto someone’s property and take what doesn’t belong to her? Especially something that belongs to a child?” Jimenez said.

If anyone recognizes the woman in the video or has information on this case, they can call the sheriff’s office at (442) 265-2021.
