Father seeking help after daughter given only 6 months to live

A Yuma father is asking for the community’s help as one of his seven children continues her battle with cervical cancer.

Kevin Favreau’s daughter, Amanda, has been battling with Stage 3 cervical cancer for ten months that has now spread to her lymph system.

Amanda now faces a different battle, Stage 4 lymphoma.

“Helpless…we all know somebody who has died from cancer. It seems to be a very evil disease. The more they work on it, the more they find, and the more they find the more, they have work on it. There are no easy solutions ,” Favreau said.

Amanda, a wife, and mother of two small children, now has a hint of hope. Her family found a hospital that is out of network and offers CAR T-cell therapy. However, the treatment is not covered by Amanda’s health insurance.

With the treatment costing over $500,000, the family is asking for the community’s help. A GoFundMe page has been set up for Amanda.
